Antoinette Avanzo, 94, of Elk Grove Village, died Wednesday. Mrs. Avanzo retired with 25 years of service from Brach Candy Co. She also worked as a home health care aide for six years. Survivors include a son, Richard J. Syslo; a daughter, Nancy L. Carlson; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services were held Friday.
