Evelyn K. Albert, 84, retired principal of Spaulding School in Chicago, died Tuesday in St. Matthew Lutheran Home in Park Ridge. Miss Albert taught at Christopher Elementary and Lake View High Schools before becoming a teacher and principal at Spaulding. Co-workers and friends described her as an educator who always put her students first. Miss Albert, a native of Winnipeg, received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English, and a master’s degree in education from Northwestern University. She is survived by a sister, Caroline Dooley. Services will be private.
