Ruth Kennedy, 69, of Aurora died Wednesday in Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora. Mrs. Kennedy graduated from Western Illinois University in 1950, where she attained her degree in education. She taught in the special education area for 15 years at Hope Wall School in West Aurora School District 129, retiring in 1987. Survivors include her husband, Alvin; a son, Jack; a daughter, Jill McRea; two sisters; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Wesley United Methodist Church, 500 W. Galena Blvd., Aurora.
