Harold Goldstein, 79, founder and chairman of the board of Cadillac Machinery Co. in Elk Grove Village, died Tuesday in his home in Chicago. Mr. Goldstein started the business in 1950. Cadillac Machinery manufactures machine tools. Mr. Goldstein was also one of the founding members of the Machinery Dealers National Association and served as the organization’s president from 1967 to 1968. During World War II, Mr. Goldstein served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He is survived by his wife, Susan; three sons, Michael, Richard and Loren; one daughter, Linda Kohn; one brother; and eight grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Weinstein Brothers Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette.
