David W. Whipple, 38, died Thursday of a heart attack at his home in Waukegan. Born in Evanston and raised in Winnetka, Mr. Whipple was a graduate of New Trier High School in Winnetka. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications from Curry College in Milton, Mass. For the last 10 years, Mr. Whipple worked as a real estate appraiser with his father’s company, Whipple and Associates. Survivors include his parents, Anne and Frank; and a sister, Carolyn Katz. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Winnetka Congregational Church, 725 Pine St., in Winnetka.
