Thomas J. Casey, 85, a longtime resident of Lake Forest, died Thursday in his daughter’s home in Libertyville. Born on Chicago’s West Side, Mr. Casey graduated from St. Ignatius High School. He attended Loyola University and graduated from DePaul University Law School. In 1940, he became a claims adjuster for Allstate Insurance Co. He worked for the company for 37 years, eventually becoming a vice president of the claims department in 1940. Survivors include four daughters, Rita O’Brien, Joanne Green, Maureen Maves, and Patricia Gemperline; and 10 grandchildren. Mass was said Tuesday in Lake Forest.
