In addition to extending the Blue Line to the Woodfield mall (Metro, Aug. 20), the CTA could connect the Brown Line (Ravenswood) to the Blue Line at Jefferson Park by extending the Brown Line west. The CTA could also reroute the Yellow Line (Skokie Swift) to Jefferson Park via an abandoned Union Pacific easement.
Assuming the Yellow Line was extended to Lake-Cook Road, the three lines could connect Lincoln Park, O’Hare Airport, three major shopping malls and a number of office campuses.
