“We haven’t had dialogue that open in five years,” said Trout Valley Village President Steve Barrett after a meeting Wednesday between Cary Village President Don Huffer and the Trout Valley Sewer Study Committee.
The committee had invited Huffer to discuss financing the sewer line that is part of the Gentry Ridge subdivision agreement with Cary.
“If we could figure out a way to keep that (Gentry Ridge property) open space and you could give us the same deal we have now, which is a no-risk, all-paid-for sewer line, we’d have found the perfect solution,” Huffer said.
Bond attorney Darryl Davidson presented several funding options. Afterward, Barrett said it was apparent the committee would need more information.
