I’m a huge Bears fan surrounded by 49ers and Raiders fans. If I see something bad about the Bears in the paper out here, it’s understandable. But every time I turn to a Chicago sports page, you guys are ripping them apart. Heck, even when the Raiders or 49ers stink, sports columnists treat them with a little more respect.

My problem: I can’t believe you are ripping on the only guy on the Bears who plays with an intensity that goes off the charts. Bryan Cox is the heart and leader of the team. His fourth-quarter outburst against the Packers may have been unnecessary, but I don’t see anything wrong with a man venting his frustration and letting the league know the Bears are for real. Those penalties would only hurt in a tight game, and Cox isn’t stupid.

If the refs won’t officiate the Packers, then the Bears will.
