– With Heather Locklear so far along in her pregnancy, will she be written out of Melrose Place for the start of the shows new year?
As youll see for yourself when that year begins this Monday on Fox, the actress will remain very much in evidence as Amanda. The character is heavily involved in a new love triangle that also concerns Kyle (Rob Estes) and Taylor (Lisa Rinna), and Locklears presence owes to the fact that the Melrose cast and crew went back to work much earlier than usual to accommodate her condition. Youll notice a lot more head-and-shoulders shots of her as the new episodes progress over the coming weeks.
– A friend and I are having a debate about Charlton Heston. Did he ever do a TV series?
While the veteran actor had appeared in productions in the heyday of live television, as well as the mini-series Chiefs and some TV-movies (Nairobi Affair, Original Sin), he didnt do a regular weekly show until ABCs late-1980s Dynasty spinoff The Colbys. As wealthy Jason Colby, Heston headed a cast that also included Barbara Stanwyck and Katharine Ross, as well as Dynasty carryovers John James, Emma Samms and Stephanie Beacham.
– Was there a TV version of National Lampoons Animal House?
After the 1978 comedy became a huge hit at the box office, ABC commissioned Delta House, a somewhat watered-down spinoff that featured a number of the original cast members, minus such pivotal ones as John Belushi and Tim Matheson. The show came and went in a matter of weeks in 1979.
– I heard that Unsolved Mysteries was canceled, but now I hear that its going to be back after all. Whats the real story?
NBC had canceled the long-running program when its fall lineup was announced, but during the summer, CBS made a deal to pick up the series. Robert Stack will return as host when it resurfaces sometime during the coming season, either as a weekly show again or as recurring specials.
