The same weekend the feds funded an air show demonstrating our expensive war toys and their ability to destroy people around the globe.
It seems an outrageous set of government priorities to fund an air show while putting children at risk of hunger, illness and homelessness. Local governments will have to handle the consequences of short-sighted policies made by our congress of millionaires.
As the richest nation in the world, we can and should be investing more in our future–healthy, educated, safe children.
