Roy D. Craig Sr., 90, former chairman of the board of education at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elmhurst, died Saturday in the Lutheran Home in Napolean, Ohio. Mr. Craig lived in Elmhurst from 1951 to 1990, when he moved to Florida and then to Ohio. He was deacon at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Melrose Park and began his commitment to religion at Nebo Lutheran Church in Chicago, said his son, Rev. Roy D. Craig Jr. Mr. Craig was a manufacturer’s representative for Tietz and Baur, a plastics firm in Addison. Other survivors include three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 142 E. 3rd St., Elmhurst.
