Amoco Corp. said a natural gas field it discovered off the coast of Trinidad and Tobago may hold more than 2 trillion cubic feet of gas. If the estimate is accurate, the discovery will increase by 44 percent the amount of gas the Chicago-based energy company has found offshore Trinidad since 1995. Amoco’s seven previous discoveries there hold 4.5 trillion cubic feet of gas and 75 million barrels of condensate, a petroleum liquid often found with natural gas and processed into fuels or used to make chemicals.
