Dennis A. Mangerich, A Chicago police officer, died Wednesday of a heart attack at his Northwest Side home. Mr. Mangerich was a 30-year veteran of the police department, serving in the Belmont Area. He was born and raised on the North Side and attended De Paul Academy. Later Mr. Mangerich studied at De Paul University. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl J.; a daughter, Kelly Atkins; and a son, Kevin. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Priscilla Catholic Church, 6949 W. Addison St.
