Downloading my crystal ball: The Bears move out of Chicago. Think about it, they haven’t deserved the title of Chicago’s Bears since the last successful headstrong games of the ancient Halas-Ditka days in 1986. What worked then does no longer. They are really the McCaskey Bears, not Chicago’s own.

Enter the Cardinals from Arizona, bought by Walter Payton, coached by Gary Barnett. Hey, if Phil Jackson can do it in basketball, Gary can do it in football.

Then Chicago can be proud again to reclaim its lost Cardinals for new life in the new millennium. Any bets?
