Mary C. Engel, 92, a retired Chicago public school teacher and a resident of the city’s West Rogers Park neighborhood, died Thursday in St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. Mrs. Engel was a lifelong resident of Chicago. She was a 1926 graduate of the University of Chicago, where she majored in education. She taught elementary school for 42 years, and spent nearly all of her career at Bradwell School before retiring in 1971. She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Osher. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette.
