Jack Robbins, 90, the founder of Jack Robbins Clothes on Chicago’s Northwest Side, died Saturday in North Palm Beach, Fla. Born in Chicago, Mr. Robbins founded the men’s and women’s clothing store in 1942. The store, at 5613 W. Belmont Ave., still sells men’s clothing and is operated by one of Mr. Robbins’ sons, Lawrence. Mr. Robbins moved to Florida 25 years ago, but maintained a Chicago residence until 1995. From 1960 to 1963, he was president of the Belmont-Central Chamber of Commerce. Other survivors include his wife, Mildred; two other sons, Michael and Joel; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in B’nai Torah, 2789 Oak St., Highland Park.
