Feel the urge to get cozy with a 200-pound python? Want to hold a handful of baby turtles? Is your idea of a good time watching brightly-colored corn snakes wriggling in a tree?
Then head for the Chicago Academy of Sciences’ Nature Museum Saturday and Sunday for the 15th annual “HerPETological Weekend.”
The event will feature all of the above, plus presentations by herpetology experts on subjects such as “What Reptiles Make Good Pets” and “The Care and Feeding of North American Box Turtles.”
HerPETological Weekend runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 21.
Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children 3 to 17 and seniors. Children under 3 are free.
