Brian C. Dunkel, 33, of Fox River Grove died Friday in a plane crash near Leaf River, Ill. He worked as an engineer for Sundstrand Corp. in Rockford. He is survived by his wife, Tammy; two sons, Matthew and Tyler; his parents, Dr. James and Virginia; his grandparents, Robert and Dorothy; two brothers; and a half-brother. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Salem Lutheran Church, 1629 S. 6th St., Rockford.
