Bruno Hucher, 79, of Clarendon Hills died Saturday in his home. Born in Harvey, he was a chemical engineer for Swift & Co. He later worked for Globe Engineering. Mr. Hucher was a pilot in World War II and was awarded two Bronze Service Stars and the Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster to the Air Medal. For eight years, he was a crossing guard at Prospect School in Clarendon Hills. Survivors include his wife, Sandra; three daughters, Sara, Michelle and Krista; two sons, Matthew and Ralph; two sisters; and two brothers. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Notre Dame Catholic Church, Norfolk and Chicago Avenues, Clarendon Hills.
