Francis A. Evers, 81, of Aurora, a former teacher at West Aurora High School, died Sundayin Mercy Center hospital in Aurora. Mr. Evers was a member of Holy Angels Church. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Illinois State University and Notre Dame University, respectively. Mr. Evers taught in Covel, Ill., Evansville, Ind., Albany, N.Y., and Minonk and Rock Island, Ill. Later, he moved to Aurora where he taught Latin and English at West Aurora High School for nearly 33 years. Mr. Evers was a member of the Aurora Association of Retired Teachers. Survivors include his wife, Tish; three sisters; and a brother. A mass will be said at 2 p.m. Thursday in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Lancaster and Hardin Avenues, Aurora.
