Godfrey Klein, 82, a longtime Oak Lawn resident, died Monday in his home. Mr. Klein worked in banking for 47 years, starting his career as a teller at Mutual National Bank of Chicago and later working as a vice president of LaSalle National Bank. He also had been an Oak Lawn Park District commissioner. Survivors include his wife, Doris; two daughters, Louise Turner and Christine Lahti; a son, Fred; two sisters; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday in Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
