Peter N. Stathas, 82, of Downers Grove, a retired truck driver, died Wednesday in Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove. A Chicago native, Mr. Stathas drove trucks for local companies for more than 35 years, retiring in 1978. “He’d leave at 7 a.m., and we wouldn’t see him until 12 or 1 a.m. He’d work hard, but he would always have time for his family,” said his daughter, Laurie Young. Mr. Stathas is also survived by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, Peter J. and Nicholas; and five grandchildren. Services were private.
