Thomas H. Suwanski, 55, a former police officer and resident of Algonquin, died Sept. 13 at his home. Mr. Suwanski was a Chicago police officer for 10 years. He was also a former sergeant with the Lake in the Hills Police Department, and a former juvenile officer for South Barrington. Mr. Suwanski also worked as a bus driver for Carpentersville-based School District 300. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve “Jenny”; three sons, Rob, Tony and Matt; a daughter, Denise Vincente; his mother, Sophie; two brothers; a sister; and four grandchildren. Services were Wednesday.
