Verlin R. Hill, 71, a 37-year resident of Wauconda, died Wednesday in his home. Born in Wellington, Kan., Mr. Hill was a self-employed drywall installer. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Beverly; five daughters, Linda Goodyear, Barbara Stackhouse, Glenda, Darla and Leta; five sons, Vernon, Ronald, Randy, Lyle and Kent; four brothers; six sisters; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda.
