The Bolingbrook Village Board has approved a plan for a 104-home subdivision to be built on the west side of Schmidt Road, south of Lily Cache Lane.
The project is an extension of Bloomfield Villages, a single-family home subdivision already built on the east side of Schmidt Road.
The site for the final phase of the Bloomfield Villages subdivision is on 22 acres that had been farmland. The land will be subdivided into lots that will range in size from 7,500 to 14,200 square feet.
Dennis Kowalczyk, acting community development director, said, “We’re trying to accomplish a good housing mix.”
The homes in the new phase of Bloomfield Villages are expected to sell for $150,000 to $180,000.
