Ella Sunderlage, 84, a native of rural Hanover Township, died Thursday at home in Burlington. After marrying in 1931, Mrs. Sunderlage and her husband farmed in the Rodenburg/Schaumburg area until moving to Burlington in 1948. She was active in quiltmaking projects that benefited Lutheran World Relief. She is survived by her husband, Erwin A. “Jack”; three daughters, Betty Getzelman, Shirley Reed and Donna Engel; three sons, Duane, Gene and Gordon; a brother; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Frederick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 13 N 535 French Rd., Hampshire.
