Joe W. Bale, 53, of Cherry Valley, formerly of Huntley, died Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Born in Sylacauga, Ala., Mr. Bale was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was employed at the Illinois Tool Works in Elgin. Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Drafall; two sons, William and Dean; his parents; a sister and a brother; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
