Thomas A. Librande, 35, was co-director of the Healthyself Center in Elgin where he specialized in treating patients with holistic medicine. A longtime resident of Carpentersville, Mr. Librande died Saturday in Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Born in Elgin, Mr. Librande was an iridologist and a physician of naturopathy. For the past four years, Mr. Librande’s involvement with the Healthyself Center included chiropractic care, aromatherapy, massage therapy and herbalism. Mr. Librande received his master’s in iridology from the College of Oriental Medicine. He also was a member of the American Naturopathic Medical Association. Survivors include his mother, Anne; and two sisters. A mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Monica Catholic Church, 90 N. Kennedy Drive, Carpentersville.
