Audrey Margitan, 64, of Geneva, died Tuesday, at her home. Born in West Chicago, Mrs. Margitan was a Geneva resident for 46 years. She was a member of the Geneva Lutheran Church where she was a 32-year member of the senior choir. She also directed the choristers and confirmation junior choir for seven years. She served on the Barbara D. Anderson Scholarship Fund Committee for many years and also the Memorial Committee of the Church. Mrs. Margitan was known throughout the Fox Valley for singing at weddings, banquets and funerals. She also spent 15 years singing for the Little Traveler’s Swedish Lucia Fest. For 12 years, she was a volunteer at Geneva Community Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Peter; a son, Michael; a daughter, Sherry Gibbs; two grandchildren; and two brothers. A private family service will be held Saturday.
