Raymond C.J. Maroder, 74, a resident of Wheaton for 30 years, died Thursday at the DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton. Mr. Maroder served in World War II in the Coast Guard on the U.S.S. Serpens in the South Pacific. He was awarded a Purple Heart. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Williams and Judith Kotelensky; a son, David; three grandchildren; and a brother. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 515 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton.
