Mitchell S. Dydo, 83, of the West Elsdon neighborhood on the Southwest Side, died Saturday of a cerebral hemorrhage in West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park. Mr. Dydo had retired in 1979 from Inryco, a steel fabricating company that was a division of Inland Steel Co. He had worked in a number of positions for Inryco and its predecessor companies for 44 years. He was a materials finder at the time of his retirement. “Dad took great pride in the accomplishments of his family and the longtime loving relationship he shared with his wife,” said his son, Mitchell Jr., who is the Tribune’s city chief copy editor. Survivors also include Mr. Dydo’s wife of 57 years, Stella; a daughter, Dorothy; a brother; and four grandchildren. A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Modell Funeral Home, 5725 S. Pulaski Rd. Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. in St. Turibius Church, 5646 S. Karlov Ave.
