Ralph J. Andermann, 80, of Lombard, an electrical engineer for 33 years at General Motors Electro-Motive, died Saturday in Lexington Health Care Center in Lombard. Mr. Andermann was born in Hinsdale and lived for 39 years in La Grange before moving to Lombard 10 years ago. He graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1940 and was a lifelong member of the alumni association. Mr. Andermann served in the Army in World War II. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Lombard. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; two sons, Ralph J. Jr. and Ronald; a daughter, Marilyn Reid; one brother; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Peace Lutheran Church, 21 W 500 W. Butterfield Rd., Lombard.
