David D. Berna, 64, of Wheeling and formerly of Elgin, died Friday in St. Joseph Mercy-Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Mich. Born in Elgin, he was a 40-year draftsman for water systems at Powers Process Controls in Skokie. He is survived by his wife, Caroline, and two sons, Eric and Steven David. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1111 N. Elmhurst Rd., Prospect Heights.
