I think Ken Griffey Jr. (Sept. 16 Sports) is way overrated. Frank Thomas is a way better hitter. He is going to win the batting champion-ship this year.
Also, Griffey plays in a dome with no wind and one of the shortest fences in all of baseball.

More on Princess Di
In response to all of you who wrote in about Princess Diana, I really must say you are not thinking. Without her royal name, Diana would have been a nobody.
All royalty is is a bunch of people living off squandered wealth from previous centuries.
In the end, Diana was just pure stupid driving late at night at 100 m.p.h. in an unknown city. She did teach us one good lesson: Buckle up.

Wasteful lunch
In response to Taylor S. (Sept. 23 Backtalk): I totally agree. Another thing that kids have for lunch are juice boxes. They are made of paper, plastic and aluminum and are extremely harmful to the environment.
You can buy large, recyclable containers of juice. Then you can fill a reusable thermos with the juice. If kids start doing that, they will have a good drink and help the environment too!

Great gig
Being a bat boy is cool (Sept. 23 Sports). You get to play catch with Frank Thomas, Robin Ventura or Albert Belle. You could become friends with a lot of baseball stars.
Before I read this article, I wanted to be a banker. Now, I want to be a bat boy like Jeff.

Nobody’s perfect
I am responding to the article Starving for perfection (Sept. 16 Tough News). You should never be ashamed of how you look or act. God made you unique, so don’t trash your body.

Stress test
The article “This is only a test” (Sept. 16 Tough News) got me a little angry. Why would President Clinton want to put stress on a child to take a test to advance? Some smart people aren’t very good test-takers.
