Attention Bat-fans: Not one but two stars of the original Batman TV series will be making appearances this weekend at Mulqueen’s Hollywood Collectibles and Toy Show. Of the three actresses who clawed their way through the role of Catwoman, Julie Newmar-she of the kittenish growl-probably made the biggest impression on TV viewers; an unscientific poll of workplace colleagues determined that Newmar outpurred her formidable Cat-colleagues, Lee Meriwether and Eartha Kitt. Giving Newmar a run for her money in the skin-tight suit department was Yvonne Craig, TV’s one and only Batgirl. Both women will be making personal appearances this Saturday and Sunday at the show, at which 200 dealers will be offering a variety of TV, film and pop-culture memorabilia. It’s at the Clarion Hotel in Rosemont; call 630-837-0482 for more information.
