In the realm of suitability, the so-called slouch suit weighs in on the extreme side of this current pantsuits trend.

It’s big, in every way. The jacket sleeves are long, past the wrist, all the way to the knuckles. The shoulders may or may not follow the actual shoulder line, meaning that line can be as much as two inches down from your shoulders.

The body of the jacket is long, hitting mid-thigh or beyond. What woman doesn’t like that option occasionally?

As for the pants, look for fullness in the leg–sometimes downright baggy but controlled–from the waist down, through the inseam and long at the ankle–sometimes actually grazing the ground (may we suggest a slight hem?).

The good thing is that you can be as slouchy you want. Designers cut these suits in various ways, such as the two featured here. Keep in mind: the slouchier the suit, the edgier the look.
