David D. Thompson, 74, a resident of Elk Grove Village for 37 years, died Thursday in Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village. Mr. Thompson, who was born in Webster City, Iowa, was retired from Royal Crown Cola where he had worked for 28 years as a sales manager. He was a choir member and Sunday school teacher at Elk Grove Presbyterian Church. Mr. Thompson, a former Eagle Scout, was also a member of the Elk Grove senior golf league. He is survived by his wife, Lois I.; a daughter, Valerie I. Heller; a son, Bradley W.; a sister; a brother; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at 10 a.m., in Elk Grove Presbyterian Church, 600 E. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village.
