A cargo ship carrying regular supplies and a spare computer successfully docked with Russia’s orbiting Mir space station Wednesday.

The Progress M-36 craft docked automatically with the aging Mir at 12:07 p.m., six minutes ahead of schedule. Reporters watched the docking on a large screen at Mission Control in Korolyov just outside Moscow.

Progress’ cargo included fuel, oxygen, water and scientific equipment. Wednesday’s docking had been postponed by a day because of problems detaching a previous Progress craft from Mir.
