Ernest P. Martin, 83, of Harvard, died Monday at his home. He was employed by the State of Illinois’ highway department for 12 years and farmed in the Harvard area all his life. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; three sons, Gary, David and Mike; two daughters, Judy Koch and Janice Ebel; two sisters; two brothers; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, and Friday from noon until the funeral service at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1100 N. Division St., Harvard.
