Richard E. Locke, 66, of Mt. Prospect, formerly of Hartford, Mich., died Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines. Born in Chicago, he served in the Army during the Korean War and was the former owner of Locke Tropical and Delta Bird. He is survived by his wife, Rose; two sons, Joseph and Patrick; three daughters, Pamela, Theresa Wegner and Heidi Hofman; two brothers; and nine grandchildren. Prayer services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Rd., Mt. Prospect. A 10 a.m. mass will follow at St. Alphonsus Church, 411 N. Wheeling Rd., Prospect Heights.
