Clara C. Nester, 85, of Des Plaines, died Tuesday in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. Mrs. Nester, who was born in Johnsburg, was a volunteer with Welcome Wagon and the Girl Scouts. Survivors include her daughters, Susanne K. Heron and Cheryl L. Adams; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Stephen Church, 1280 Prospect Ave., Des Plaines.
