John Von Rhein’s article “The Man With the Golden Ear” (Arts & Entertainment, Sept. 28) was very informative. Not only did it satisfy the reader with a technical background of the subject of acoustics, but it also gave the layman a graphic and lucid explanation, with the help of sketches and photographs.
