Local school council members will testify on the condition of their schools and make recommendations on school improvements at a public hearing Saturday. Those scheduled to attend the forum, sponsored by the Chicago Association of Local School Councils, are U.S. Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun (D-Ill.), Gov. Jim Edgar and state Sen. Arthur Burman (D-Chicago).

The hearing will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chicago Association of Local School Councils office, 14 E. Jackson Blvd., Suite 1220. For information, call 312-663-3863.
