Wool fashions are a fall staple. But their proper care is often overlooked.
According to the International Fabricare Institute, wool garments can absorb up to 30 percent of their weight in moisture (primarily perspiration) without feeling damp.
Instead of cramming wool clothes back in a crowded closet, hang them in a well-ventilated spot overnight.
They should also be brushed with a non-bristle fabric brush to remove surface soil and given a 24-hour rest between wearings.
