John Edward Mott, 59, who for 38 years worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Chicago, Oak Brook and Bedford Park facilities, died Thursday in his Glenview home. A graduate of Chicago’s Lindblom High School, Mr. Mott created and organized the annual Lindblom High School Nifty ’50s Reunion Picnic, which this year was named in his honor. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Glenview and served as the church’s unofficial photographer, taking pictures of christenings and other church events. He also served on the Center Cass School District board in Downers Grove. Survivors include his wife. Olympia; a daughter, Sharon Mott; and a stepson, Evan Psihogios. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 8025 W. Golf Rd., Niles. A funeral liturgy will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 1401 Wagner Rd., Glenview.
