On your mark, get set, go, go, go to the Dominick’s Youth Mile Run on Saturday at Grant Park.
Kids between 5 and 14 years old can kick up their heels in the mile race Saturday in Grant Park, part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the Oct. 19 LaSalle Banks Chicago Marathon.
Every child who participates will receive a commemorative finisher’s medal, official race T-shirt and a goodie bag from Dominick’s Finer Foods. There will be a post-race party and the awards ceremony will be at 1 p.m. at the Chicago Hilton & Towers, 720 S. Michigan Ave.
The entry fee is $7 until race day. Call 312-243-0003.
