Sam G. Stavropoulos, 77, died Friday in his Mt. Prospect home. He was the founder and chief executive officer of Schiller Park-based Die-Mate Corp., a maker of industrial metal components. Survivors include his wife, Marie; a daughter, Sandra; two sons, Mark and Matthew; four brothers; a sister; four great-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Raymond de Penafort Church, 83rd and Lincoln Streets, Mt. Prospect.
