Anna Prantis, 87, of Chicago, died Friday in Hammond. A retired 20-year employee of the Chicago Public Schools, Mrs. Prantis’ career included a stint as assistant principal of Kennedy High School. Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Carney; a son, Bob; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Baran Funeral Home, 1235 119th St., Whiting, Ind.
