Raymond E. Tranter, 76, of Glen Ellyn, formerly of Richmond, Va., died Sunday in Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield. Mr. Tranter retired in 1982 after 33 years as the assistant director of credit with Reynolds Metal Co. He was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Glen Ellyn. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; a brother; a nephew; and a niece. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn. Services will be at 11 a.m., Oct. 21 at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 2 S 500 Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn.
